Greetings. My brother and I have just joined ArmA 2 and Arrowhead recently. We have been playing OFP missions and CTI since OFP came out and only finally made the switch last weekend @.@;

Anyway, we're looking for some people to do missions with, advice on mods needed to play online as well as a good missions resource (we're big fans of CTI and Zombie/Undead missions).

Lastly do you guys have any good well-populated servers for us to join in on? We've tried looking at random games in the lobby but either A) we dont have the mods to join, or B) the server is empty.

Anyway, nice to meet yous all and you'll probably catch my brother Gprime or myself floating around here occaisionally.

I'm pretty sure AEF and VMA both run verify sigs on their servers, which means at the moment you can only join with stock Arrowhead - no mods or addons. If you're running any addons when looking for servers they'll both come up red and say you cant join.

That said, those are easily the 2 most populated servers currently running in association with AusArmA. All you have to do is jump on TS3 (details on front page) and see who's doing what and join in

My bro lives in Aus but I'm out of country atm. Do the Aus/NZ-related servers have max ping limits? I'm on a crappy 25mbit connection living in Japan, and I know some servers (in other games) wont allow ppl with pings exceeding 50 to join.

Other than that, Arrowhead is quite laggy for me atm. I dont know why. I've been sticking to ArmA 2 mostly as I have flawless framerate/performance in that. I think next OA update will address the performance issue though.

PS: Holy crap the physics in ArmA are so good compared to what I'm used to. I'm still used to OFP-style "can walk thru buildings" and "bouncing tanks" lol.

Most will allow pings up to 250 on a good day. Go give it a test and let us know

My point was that out of that list though only the VMA and AEF pubs are actually linked to AusArmA and share a TS server.
