Aus Arma
 What is Aus Arma?

Aus Arma is an independently owned and operated Arma community website for Australia and New Zealand. The site is run by the community, for the community with no commercial support or funding.

The aim is to provide a common bridge between the small segregated clans, squads and public players throughout AU/NZ, as well as increase the amount of long-term Arma players in the region. By building a strong community, we aim to improve the level of in-game enjoyment via user familiarity and promote a better understanding of ethics (primarily tactics and team-work).

We promote all community based events (organised missions, ladders, competitions etc) from all parties without any bias. This provides a means for the event hosts to reach more players outside of thier usual player base.

We have a forum set up where clan leaders can post information and recruiting instructions to help promote thier own community. Aus Arma allows public players to read through a list of clans & teams to find the one most suited to thier own playing style - anything from casual gaming to hardcore military tactics.

We also run large 50 player coop events with actual command structures and realistic scenarios on a random basis. Anybody can sign-up.

What Aus Arma is NOT:
  • A clan
  • A file hosting website (due to bandwidth costs)
Our means of Communication:
Aim of the TeamSpeak server:

Currently, everyone joins the TeamSpeak channel of the game server they are currently playing on. This is fine, until the server starts to get empty and there are few people left to organise another match (or they can't be bothered). With the relatively low number of Arma players in the region, it becomes very difficult to sustain servers with a high player count if a large amount of people suddenly leave.

The Aus Arma TeamSpeak server acts as a place to quickly organise matches between all players on all servers soley for Arma II. This allows players to fill servers easier with instant communication across separate game servers. Are two or three servers almost empty? Why not jump on the same server to produce a higher quality game. Want to play that 30 player mission but only have 15? Why not ask players from other servers if they would like to join you.

What can you do?

Donations:
If you have some spare cash laying around or you're feeling generous you can donate to us! This website is not free to run and and relies on my personal finances. I'm happy to keep this going, but I'm not made of money and any contribution is highly appreciated.

Promote Aus Arma:

The bigger this community grows, the more players will stay on the servers and the more enjoyment everyone will have.
